Terms and Conditions
1. General
1.1

These general terms and conditions ("Terms") apply when you as a consumer ("You") place an order via www.skinome.com ("Site"). Agreement is entered into between you and Skinome Research AB, organization number 559164–0189 ("Skinome"). Detailed contact details and other information about Skinome can be found on the Site. The terms and conditions are only applicable to you who are consumers and who place orders via the Site.

1.2

To be able to order on the Site, you must be 18 years of age. According to Swedish law, Skinome does not accept credit purchases from people under the age of 18. Skinome reserves the right in individual cases to refuse or change your order (for example if you have provided incorrect personal data and/or have payment objections).

1.3

Skinome reserves the right for final sales and any image and writing errors on the site, for example errors in the product description or technical specification, incorrect prices and price adjustments (such as changed prices from suppliers or currency changes) or incorrect information regarding whether an item is in stock. Skinome has the right to correct any such errors and to change or update the information at any time. If an incorrect price has been entered for an item you have ordered, Skinome will of course notify you of this and wait for your approval of the corrected price before Skinome continues with the order. All image information on the site should be seen exclusively as illustrations. Such illustrations cannot be guaranteed to represent the number of items You will receive or the item's exact appearance, features or origin. Skinome is not responsible for information on the site that comes from a third party.

1.4

The site, as well as all content on it, is owned by Skinome or its licensors. The information is protected by, among other things, intellectual property and market laws. This means that trademarks, company names, product names, images and graphics, design, layout and information about goods, services and other content may not be copied or used without written approval from Skinome.

2. Agreement and order
2.1

In order to make a purchase via the site, you must accept the Terms and Conditions. By accepting the Terms and Conditions, you undertake to follow the Terms and Conditions in their entirety, as well as agree that you have read the information about personal data and consented to the use of personal data and cookies in accordance with Skinome's Privacy Policy.

2.2

A purchase agreement is only entered into when Skinome has confirmed your order and you have received an order confirmation from Skinome by e-mail. Skinome invites you to save this order confirmation for any contact with Skinome's customer service. You can cancel your order until it has been confirmed by Skinome. If the order is cancelled, Skinome will refund any payments that You or your payment or credit card companies have made regarding the order.

2.3

After you have placed an order, you will receive an order confirmation to the email address you provided as soon as your purchase has been approved.

3. Customer information etc
3.1

When you register your user account and/or place an order, you will be asked to provide certain personal data. You confirm that the information you fill in is correct and complete and are responsible for incorrectly filled information. Information about Skinome's processing of personal data can be found in the Skinome Privacy Policy.

3.2

You undertake to ensure that no one else can use your login details. You may not disclose username and password to any unauthorized person and must ensure that documents containing information about username and password are stored in such a way that unauthorized persons cannot gain access to the information. You must immediately report to Skinome if it is suspected that an unauthorized person has gained access to your password. You are responsible for all purchases made with your login details if such notification has not been made.

3.3

If Skinome suspects that you are abusing your user account or your login details or otherwise breaching the Terms and Conditions, Skinome has the right to suspend you. Skinome also has the right to assign you new login details.

4. Prices, fees and payment
4.1

When ordering via the site, the prices stated on the site apply. Prices are stated in SEK, EURO or NOK and the prices always include VAT. Prices do not include any shipping charges that are listed separately at checkout.

4.2

Skinome has the right to charge already in connection with the order. Skinome reserves the right not to always offer all payment methods, or to change the payment method if the one you chose for some reason does not work at the time of purchase. Please note that any restrictions on payment options are stated on the Site.

4.3

We accept card payment with VISA, MasterCard and Klarna Pay Now, as well as invoice payment with Klarna Pay Later. When you pay by credit card or Klarna, the payment is handled by our payment partner Shopify Payments to guarantee fast and secure payment.

4.4

In the case of returns, you can see your refund on your bank statement within 14 banking days from the day you received your return confirmation from us. The refund is always made to the same payment card that was used for the purchase.

5. Promotions and offers

Skinome may from time to time offer promotions on the site that may have more favorable terms than what appears in these Terms, e.g. regarding payment or extended right of withdrawal. These more favorable conditions apply as long as the promotion is active and for the specific goods specified by Skinome in connection with the promotion. Skinome reserves the right to withdraw such promotions at any time. In the event of termination or cancellation of a campaign, these Terms apply without modification. Offers on specific items on the site are valid for a limited time and while stocks last.

6. Delivery and transport
6.1 Shipping

We deliver throughout the EU and to Norway.

6.2

Items that are in stock are normally delivered within the number of working days specified when you select the delivery method for your order. Under sections 6.4 and 6.5, you can also see the respective delivery option's expected delivery time. Unless otherwise specifically agreed and a delivery takes more than 14 days and this is not due to you as a customer, you have the right to cancel the purchase.

6.3

If packages are to be redeemed, you must do this within the time specified in the notification. Packages must normally be picked up in person with valid identification and order number. You always receive a notification that shows where and when packages are to be picked up. Notification can take place via e-mail, regular mail and, if you have provided a mobile number, also via phone calls or SMS.

6.4 Delivery method for subscription orders

We always offer free shipping on your subscription orders.

Your subscription orders are delivered using our default delivery option as below:

Sweden: Budbee Box (2-3 working days)

When placing an order, your nearest parcel box will automatically be selected for delivery. Via the Budbee app or your tracking link via email, you have the option to change to another package box at no extra cost when Budbee has registered your order.

Orders to addresses not covered by Budbee are delivered with PostNord.

Germany: DHL Home Delivery (2-4 working days)

Other EU + Norway: UPS Home Delivery (2-4 working days)

7. Right of withdrawal and 100% customer satisfaction guarantee
7.1

When purchasing goods on the site, a 14-day right of withdrawal always applies in accordance with current consumer protection legislation. This means that you have the right to cancel your purchase by notifying Skinome of this within 14 days from when you or your representative received the ordered item (the cancellation period). In addition, as a customer, you always have a 100% satisfied customer guarantee, which means that if you are not satisfied with your product that you have bought from Skinome, you always have the right to get your money back if you notify us of this within 30 days from when you or your agent has received the ordered item.

7.2

When exercising the right of withdrawal, the product must be returned within 14 days from the date you notify Skinome of exercising the right of withdrawal. The item must be sent well packaged and in good condition. Returns must be made to Skinome in accordance with the methods and instructions specified by Skinome under Section 8.

7.3

When you cancel your purchase, Skinome will refund the amount you paid for the product, excluding any return costs. From the amount to be refunded, Skinome is also entitled to deduct an amount corresponding to the decrease in value of the item compared to the original value of the item, if and to the extent that such decrease in value is due to You having handled the item to a greater extent than is necessary to determine its properties or function.

7.4

Skinome will pay back the amount as soon as possible, but no later than within 14 days from the date we received your return and sent you a return confirmation via email. The refund will be made to you via the payment option you chose when you purchased the item, provided that nothing else has been agreed or that there are obstacles to such refund.

8. Return
8.1

In case of right of withdrawal, the products must be unused and unopened for a return to apply. For a return to be valid, you must also have received the package or collected it from your agent. An unclaimed package that is automatically sent back to us will not count as a valid return and we may charge an additional fee in accordance with section 8.3.


If the products are damaged or used, refunds do not apply. Always check that your shipment is undamaged upon delivery.

If the return/complaint is approved, we will refund the amount for your order within 14 days.

8.2 Unclaimed packages

If you do not pick up your package and it is automatically sent back to us, we will charge an extra fee for the extra handling cost and we may have to discard the product. As our skin care is fresh, it is important to collect it quickly if you have ordered it from a post office agent.

9. Complaint
9.1

The right of complaint covers goods that are faulty according to current consumer protection legislation. If you discover that the product is defective when you receive your order, you must contact Skinome as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after you received your order. Register your complaint here and we will then contact you. Complaints made within two months from when you discovered the fault are always considered to have been submitted in time. You have a 3-year right to complain about goods purchased on the Site

9.2

When the claimed product is returned and the claim is approved, Skinome will compensate you in accordance with current consumer protection legislation. Skinome strives for this to take place within 30 days of Skinome receiving the complaint, but it can sometimes take longer. Skinome reserves the right to deny a complaint if it turns out that the product is not faulty according to current consumer protection legislation. In the case of complaints, Skinome follows guidelines from the Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden, see www.arn.se. More information is available at www.konsumentverket.se .

10. Applicable Law and Dispute
10.1

Disputes must primarily be resolved by consensus after discussion with Skinome customer service (info@skinome.se).

10.2

If the dispute cannot be resolved in agreement with Skinome customer service, you as a customer can turn to ARN (Allmänna reklamentationsnämnden), which you can find more information about at www.arn.se. You can also submit complaints directly online via the European Commission's platform for mediation in disputes, which you can find via the following link https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr . If you submit a complaint via this platform, your case is automatically forwarded to the appropriate nationally responsible dispute resolution body. This dispute resolution body then contacts us and tries to resolve the dispute without court involvement.

In the event of a dispute, Skinome follows the decision of ARN or the corresponding dispute resolution body.

10.3

Disputes concerning the interpretation or application of these Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with Swedish law and decided in accordance with point 13.2 above or in the last instance by a general court.

11. Links

Skinome may link to other websites that are outside of Skinome's control, and websites outside of Skinome's control may link to the Site. Although Skinome tries to ensure that Skinome only links to websites that share Skinome's personal data and security regulations according to the Privacy Policy, Skinome is not responsible for the protection or confidentiality of information or personal data that You provide on other websites. You should exercise caution and read the personal data regulations for the relevant Site.

12. Force Majeure

Skinome is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond Skinome's control, such as, for example, general labor disputes, war, fire, lightning, terrorist attack, changed government regulations, technical problems, errors in electricity/telecommunications/data connections or other communications, and errors or delays in services from subcontractor due to circumstance stated here. These circumstances shall constitute a basis for exemption which entails exemption from damages and other penalties. If the circumstance has lasted longer than two months, both you and Skinome have the right to cancel the purchase with immediate effect.

13. Changes to Terms

Skinome reserves the right to make changes to these Terms at any time. Any changes to these Terms will be posted on the Site. Changes apply from the moment you have accepted the Terms (in connection with a new purchase or when visiting the Site), alternatively 30 days after Skinome has informed you of the changes. However, Skinome recommends that you keep updated on the Site regularly to be aware of any changes to the Terms.

14. Invalidity

If a competent court, authority or arbitration panel should find that any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the provision in question and all other provisions shall be valid and enforceable to the extent permitted by applicable law. The provisions declared invalid or unenforceable will be replaced by relevant legal guidance and advice.

15. Privacy Policy
15.1 Your personal data and how we handle it

When you entrust Skinome Research AB with your personal data, it is important to us that you feel safe. We protect your personal privacy. Your personal data is treated with the greatest respect and in accordance with current legislation. This policy describes how we collect and process your personal data when you visit our website and use the services offered there.

All personal data processing takes place in accordance with the data protection regulation. The personal data controller is Skinome Research AB (org. no. 559164–0189) with address Hornsgatan 172, 117 28 Stockholm.

In connection with placing your order, you agree that we save and use your data to complete and provide the service you can expect from us.

15.2 What is personal data?

Personal data is information and data that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a living natural person. Examples of personal data are name, social security number, address, e-mail address and telephone number. It can also apply to customer numbers, encrypted data and various types of electronic identities such as IP numbers.

Every action taken with personal data constitutes processing, regardless of whether it is performed automatically or not. Examples of common treatments are collection, registration, organization, structuring, storage, processing, transmission and deletion.

15.3 What personal data do we collect and why?

Information you provide when you become a customer of Skinome Research AB
When you become a customer of Skinome Research AB, this means that we collect your contact information: name, e-mail address, phone number, address, delivery method, possible delivery point and IP address.


The purchase agreement that we have entered into with you constitutes the legal basis for the processing of your personal data and is necessary for us to be able to fulfill our legal obligations and fulfill this agreement towards you regarding, for example, delivery and payment.

Data collected during personal contact

When you contact us via, for example, e-mail, contact form or chat, we collect the personal data that you provide to us. We do this to be able to answer the questions you have and to handle your case. It can e.g. be information about name, e-mail address and order number. We also collect information that you choose to provide to us regarding, for example, health conditions or medicines.

If your question concerns a complaint, we will process your data in order to fulfill our obligations under current consumer legislation. We do this against the background of the legal basis based on our purchase agreement with you.

15.4 How do we use your personal data?

Complete the agreement entered into
We process your data to identify you as a customer, manage and deliver your order and to handle invoicing and payment. We also process your personal data to be able to help you if you contact us with questions, comments or, for example, a complaint.

Information about products and services
We use your personal data for sending text messages and e-mails with information about our products, services and inspiration as well as educational content regarding the skin and skin care. You can withdraw your consent to the receipt of newsletters, SMS, campaigns and offers at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link found in each newsletter and SMS.

If you choose to participate during the skinome.com registration process or at other times when you may provide personal information, the information you provide may be used to create and deliver direct marketing to you.

Direct marketing includes all types of marketing, such as our regular mailing list, SMS and postal mail, which may consist of promotions, special discounts, new product launches, upcoming updates, skin care advice, product recommendations and other relevant information ("Opt-In Communications").

We will never disclose your information to an unauthorized party or sell it on to an external party.

15.5 With whom do we share the personal data?

In order to be able to take payment, manage invoices and payments, we share data with Shopify and Klarna. Shopify and Klarna will collect personal data about you in connection with payment. Transport company/Freight company/Unifaun Legal basis: To be able to complete the purchase agreement.
Our shipping companies take part in the personal data required to be able to complete and deliver your order.

Google/Facebook Legal basis: Balance of interests
We share analytics data via third-party cookies for marketing and web analytics to improve our services. We do not register any information about the visitor's IP address, therefore the information about you can never be connected with your identity.

We use the analysis tool Google Analytics to improve the content, navigation and structure of the website. The analysis tool uses JavaScript and cookies and the information about your use is anonymized.

To avoid having your information saved, you can choose not to accept cookies in your browser.

Direct marketing
Legal basis: Consent from customer
In order to be able to send you information about our products and services, we use an external CRM system where we store your email address. You can cancel your subscription at any time, either via the link in the newsletter or by contacting us directly at info@skinome.se .

Authorities Legal basis: Exercise of authority and task of public interest
Upon request, according to law and authority decisions, we may be obliged to disclose certain personal data, for example to the Police in connection with a criminal investigation.

Other Legal basis: Balance of interests
We may, where applicable, transfer your personal data to recipients other than those specified above if it is necessary for our operations. A high level of security and confidentiality is observed in all handling of personal data. We may also share information with potential buyers if we were to sell all or part of the business or in the event of a merger.

15.6 Recruitment and personnel administration

This applies to the processing of job applications and possible new employment. Termination of employment. Administration of any rehabilitation and discrimination cases.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in completing or ending recruitment processes and, where applicable, retaining information about security in cases of discrimination or the like. Express consent in cases where sensitive information may occur.

Storage period: 60 months from the end of the collection or recruitment process.

To follow up references during recruitment
If during the recruitment process someone provided contact details for references, we only save their names, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. We retain the data until the recruitment process is completed.

17. Cookies
17.1 What are Cookies

Cookies are small text files consisting of letters and numbers that are sent from our web server and saved on your browser or device. At skinome.com we use the following cookies:

We use cookies for overall analytical information regarding your use of our services and to save functional settings such as language and other data. We also use cookies to be able to direct relevant marketing to you.

17.2 Influence the use of cookies

17.3 This is how long we will save your personal data

We save personal data as long as there is a legal basis, a documented purpose for the processing or an ongoing user relationship. We have ongoing procedures that ensure that we do not store unnecessary personal data and we minimize the storage time as much as possible. We normally save your customer data for a maximum of three years from your last customer contact. However, we save information that is required according to the Accounting Act, for up to eight years.

17.4 This is how we protect your personal data

We have taken appropriate security measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. The number of people who have access to your personal data is limited. Only people with us who need to process your personal data have access to it. The suppliers with whom we share personal data will only process it on our behalf and do so in accordance with our instructions.

17.5 You decide over your personal data

You have the right to find out which of your personal data is with Skinome Research AB and to request that this be deleted.

To gain access to that information or delete your data, your application must be in writing, contain your full name and social security number, and be signed by you.

Send your application to Skinome Research AB, Hornsgatan 172, 117 28, Stockholm. The data or confirmation of deletion will be sent without undue delay to your civil registration address.

You can always use the unsubscribe link found in all campaigns, offers and newsletters we send you.

If your data is incomplete, incorrect or irrelevant, you have the right to request that it be corrected or deleted. You also have the right to request damages if the processing of your personal data has not complied with the law.

Among the things that cannot be deleted are, among other things, data that is required according to the Accounting Act and data that is required for Skinome Research AB to be able to fulfill its commitments in e.g. complaints.

It is important to us that you feel safe. We protect your personal integrity and always strive to treat your personal data with the greatest respect. If you still believe that we are processing your personal data incorrectly, please contact us. You also have the option of submitting a complaint to the Swedish Privacy Protection Authority, which is the authority that supervises the processing of personal data.

Skinome Research AB reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time, to the extent that they are necessary to remedy disturbances or meet new legal and technical requirements. Any changes to this privacy policy will be posted on the website.
