In our lab in Stockholm, Sweden, we create skincare in a completely new way: freshly made, refrigerated formulations designed to support the skin’s microbiome. While most skincare products are made to last on a shelf for months or even years, ours are developed with only one thing in mind, your skin. We call it Freshly made skincare.
Developed to give maximum effect by keeping ingredients potent and remove the need for preservatives, fragrance and other additives, our formulas strengthen the skin microbiome - crucial for a healthy skin.
Skinome was founded by skin researcher Johanna Gillbro, who identified two problems with conventional skincare:
Preservatives provide long shelf life but disrupt the skin's microbiome, which is crucial for healthy skin.
Active ingredients lose their effectiveness when stored at room temperature.
Johanna's solution was freshly made skincare – skincare strengthening the microbiome, without preservatives and kept refridgerated to deliver maximum results.

Our signature product Probiotic Concentrate encapsulates the Skinome philosophy. It contains freeze-dried live bacteria ( Lactobacillus Reuteri ) that activate when mixed with your water-based face cream and help restore balance to your skin’s microbiome. The result is calmer, more resilient skin with improved hydration, smoothness and a natural glow – especially if your skin is dry, sensitive or easily irritated.
At Skinome, we constantly strive for innovation to deliver skincare that truly makes a difference. Our research has led to multiple publications, patented technologies and ultimately better skincare – created with skin in mind, in our lab in Hornstull, Stockholm.
