Here's how it reduces pimples and breakouts

By combining 0.1% retinal with 10% azelaic acid, we have chosen two of the most well-documented ingredients for acne-prone skin. One reduces sebum production and thus pore size, the other soothes the skin and reduces redness.

Together they effectively reduce the risk of breakouts and pimples.

Retinal helps stimulate skin cell renewal, reduce the risk of clogged pores and improve skin texture.

Azelaic acid works to balance acne-related bacteria, reducing irritation, redness and uneven pigmentation.

Frequently asked questions

  • Azeretinal Concentrate should only be used in the evening because retinal is broken down by the sun.

  • Yes, Azeretinal Concentrate should be mixed with your moisturizer before application.

  • We recommend that you initially use the concentrate 2-3 times a week and gradually increase depending on how well your skin tolerates the product.

  • We recommend keeping your routine simple to avoid overloading it with unnecessary ingredients and actives. Avoid combining Azeretinal Concentrate with other retinoids, strong exfoliating acids and products high in vitamin C.

  • Yes, the concentrate should be stored in the refrigerator but can also last up to 2 weeks outside the refrigerator without losing its effectiveness.

  • If you have more frequent and severe acne breakouts with redness, uneven skin texture and inflamed pimples, Azeretinal Concentrate is a better choice. If you have oily skin with occasional pimples, Azelaic Concentrate is a better choice.

  • Yes, since retinal is an active ingredient that also affects skin elasticity and counteracts fine lines but also has a positive effect on acne-prone skin, this concentrate is very suitable if you want both of these effects.

  • In a clinical study, 92% of participants found the product to be gentle, despite its high-performance active ingredients. Some users may experience mild and transient reactions such as dryness, a slight stinging sensation or tightness during the first few weeks. This is normal when introducing retinal and usually subsides as the skin adjusts. Introduce the product slowly and see how your skin reacts. If you would like advice, please book a digital consultation with our skin therapist.

  • No, we would not recommend that. Retinal Concentrate contains, in addition to retinal, several other active ingredients that have a positive effect on the skin. It contains, for example, vitamin C, niacinamide and acetyl glucosamine, which together with retinal make Retinal Concentrate a very complete product for those who want to increase elasticity, reduce fine lines, reduce pigmentation and enlarged pores. Azeretinal Concentrate contains the active ingredients retinal and azelaic acid, specially selected to have an effect on acne-prone skin.

  • We do not recommend Azeretinal Concentrate if you have rosacea, as the product contains the active ingredient retinal, which may be too active for reactive skin. For you, our concentrate Azelaic Concentrate is a better fit. It contains azelaic acid, which reduces redness and counteracts the bacteria that can contribute to rosacea. Use it together with our moisturizer Derma Emulsion, which soothes irritated and red skin.
