What do clinical studies and publications involve?

Clinical studies are one of the most important ways to demonstrate that skincare truly works. Although it is not a legal requirement for cosmetic products to undergo clinical studies, we always choose to do so to scientifically document both efficacy and safety.

Furthermore, when the results are published in scientific journals, the research is reviewed by independent experts who assess methodology, results, and credibility before it is accepted for publication. This is an important seal of quality – and something that far from all skin research companies achieve.

Publications are important

Publications show that our study results hold up even when subjected to critical scrutiny, and that our innovations and research contribute to new knowledge that benefits not only our customers, but the entire research field.

CLINICAL STUDIES

The only way to know if skincare truly makes a difference is to test it properly – on real people, under controlled conditions. This is called a clinical study.

The EU does not require cosmetic products to undergo clinical studies. We do it anyway – to be able to show what our products actually achieve, and so you don't have to guess.
